The purpose of the Trainer’s EDGE course is to provide and help develop the platform skills of a trainer. It is meant to raise the level of skill a trainer brings to the volunteer experience. The 2011 Council Kick-Off night was held on August 18th. 

Leaders from across the Snake River Council were welcomed by Council President Garth Williams and received information about the new Journey to Excellence program from Vice President David Christensen along with Snake River Council training events and University of Scouting from Vice President Jeannie Bradshaw.

During the 2011 Snake River Council Scout-O-Rama the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post presented Kevin Robison of Crew 42 with the VFW Eagle Scout of the Year Award for the State of Idaho.
